Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time occupational therapy position is available in a K-12 school setting located in New Haven, CT. This contract role begins ASAP and runs for three months, with the possibility of extension through the remainder of the school year. The caseload will primarily focus on elementary and middle school students.
Responsibilities include providing occupational therapy services tailored to the individual needs of students at both elementary and middle school levels. Experience in school-based occupational therapy is essential to effectively support students' developmental and educational goals.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Occupational Therapy license in Connecticut is required
- Proven school-based experience, preferably with K-12 populations
- Ability to manage caseloads in elementary and middle school settings
- Completion of district fingerprinting and background checks
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with educators and families
- Availability for a Zoom interview as part of the hiring process
This role requires a 35-hour workweek in a supportive school environment. Candidates with upfront licenses and experience in school OT services are preferred. Employment is through a contractual agreement for the semester with potential for extension.
